What are Comprehensible Input, TPR, and TPRS? Comprehensible Input (CI) is a method where you hear and understand the language at a level that is just a little bit above your current level of knowledge. So the learning remains effective and yet understandable. TPR (Total Physical Response) is a method where you internalize language through physical movement. You will hear simple instructions and implement them through actions - this way the learning becomes much more vivid and sustainable. TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) combines stories and repetitions. You will be actively involved in stories and learn new words and structures with each story. This method also uses many visual aids and is very interactive. All three methods together ensure that you understand and speak the language naturally and pleasantly - without having to memorize grammar rules and vocabulary lists.
How does the lesson work? Live via Zoom with interactive stories and games, all you need is an internet connection, a camera, and a microphone. Every lesson is interactive, with stories, pictures, movement, and games.
Do I have to do homework? No, but I provide voluntary online exercises to review the lessons.
I’m shy - do I have to speak in front of the group? No, you are never forced to do anything; it’s all voluntary and you decide when you are ready to speak.
What language level do I need? The course is ideal for beginners who already understand a few words and very simple sentences.
Will the lessons be recorded? For data privacy reasons, the lessons are not recorded. The focus is on the live experience - but you‘ll get all the materials and notes we create during the lessons afterward.
Will I receive an invoice? Yes, you will receive an official invoice.
What payment options are available? You can pay with Giropay, credit/debit cards, instant transfer, Apple Pay, or PayPal.
Can I test the course or withdraw? Since it is a small live course with limited seats, cancellation after the start of the course is unfortunately not possible. You can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the start.
When does the course take place? The course takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays. The exact dates and times for your time zone can be found on the booking page via the "Sign up here" button.
